Our current Representative is Congressman Bong Belaro, an educator-lawyer-entrepreneur who obtained from the University of the Philippines a B.A. Political Science (Cum Laude) and a Bachelor of Laws (He is a former Class President in UP Law). He also holds a Master of Laws degree from Cornell University (New York, U.S.A.) where he was elected as Class Representative of the LLM Class of 2004. A firm believer in life-long learning, he is still working on his Ph.D. in Educational Administration in UP and was just commissioned as a Commander (Lt. Col. [Reserved]) of the Philippine Navy. A former Commissioner of Bar Discipline of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines, MCLE lecturer for lawyers, and a former College of Law Dean and school Vice President for Administration, he also previously taught Political Science and Law subjects at the UP, Ateneo De Manila, Entrepreneurship School of Asia, St. Dominic Savio College and the University of Caloocan City. He has various international publications in his name and is the author of two election books and of the best-seller “Legal Forms for Entrepreneurs” (National Bookstore, Fully Booked etc.)
